Two weeks ago, we spent the afternoon in London at the second Televisual Summer Fete. With 300 people in attendance, the sun shining, and drinks being poured the fete was buzzing. We were thrilled to once again be surrounded by the post and VFX community; have the opportunity to showcase our systems and have some fun, whilst the raffle raised money for key charities. We really enjoyed the giant Jenga and ping pong! We certainly did not excel at ping pong…However, Exacta’s Adam Lister won the giant Jenga competition! The donations from the event will be split between The Connection at St Martin in the Fields and the Disaster Emergency Committee Ukraine humanitarian appeal.
This year was a little different from last year, Televisual had created a Video Village, here great technology and postproduction professionals used the space to create a wrap video for the event, you can watch the video here. We were honored that our Proline Workstation was selected to be part of the systems used at the event by the team at Mission Digital. The high-performance and optimized PL Ultimate PRO Workstation was selected for grading and mastering using Davinci Resolve and Digital Vision Nucoder. The system excels with this type of workload as demonstrated by Kevin Shaw.
