From humble beginnings to national experts
INTRODUCING EXACTA TECHNOLOGIES
In 2001 Exacta Technologies was founded by CEO Nick Rogers, in Bristol. Nick had a vision to create world leading bespoke hardware. The company started at a self-storage facility in Bristol, in June 2001 the company moved to a farm at Swallows Lodge. Then in 2006 the company moved to the Sawmill at Ubley. For fourteen years Ubley was our home, we created systems for companies all over the world and grew the business here. In 2015 we launched Blackcore by Exacta, our first step outside of Exacta’s bread and butter business. Blackcore designs and builds high performance computing systems tailored for the world's fintech industry.

Our New HQ
In 2020, one day before the UK entered a national lockdown, we moved our business from our old premises in the picturesque Chew Valley and relocated to a brand-new purpose-built 20,000 sq. ft state of the art production facility in Emersons Green Bristol, UK. It was slightly melancholic to leave our old home behind, but the new building has not only massively expanded our capacity and capabilities but also invigorated our ever-growing team. This has allowed Exacta Technologies to grow into a group of world-class brands.
How have we started?
Exacta Technologies was founded in 2001 by our CEO Nick Rogers, with a vision to become world leading hardware tailors. Focussing on creating products that were tailored to exact customer requirements, the company grew not by selling to thousands of customers, but by working in real partnerships with a select group of clients who remained with us for years. This has become Platform by Exacta.
Four years ago, we created a new collection of high-performance servers optimised specifically for ultra-low latency transactions in the high frequency trading sector - the now renowned Blackcore by Exacta.
In 2020, we created high-performance workstation computers, custom built to handle the most complex workloads across any industry whilst still being sleek and quiet - introducing Proline by Exacta.
Launching Proline by Exacta
In 2020, we launched a new part of the Exacta Technologies Group, Proline. We spent the year designing and testing high-performance workstation computers for specific types of workloads. Proline officially launched in October with a brand-new website and range of bespoke workstations and servers built to handle the most complex and intricate workloads.
We have utilised our years of expertise and knowledge of proven processes to build innovative, state of the art workstations built to deliver astounding power to the desk. Allowing professionals to design, create, edit, and render seamlessly with Proline.
Where we are today
Despite operating through one of the most disruptive years in recent history, we have sustained record growth and are now using this success to drive forward more innovative products in a growing number of markets. Two Years of Proline
Over the last two years Proline has evolved to focus predominantly on the postproduction sector, as that industry requires the high performance that Exacta is very used to delivering. We have showcased our systems at three events over the last two years, all of which attended by the UK Post community. Currently Proline systems are running up and down the country in post-production houses, we are grateful to our reseller partners for promoting our systems. In the last two years we have created partnerships with excellent Resellers, these relationships have accelerated Proline’s growth nationally.

We are proud of our work ethic and appreciative of our dedicated team. We are honoured to have several long-serving members in our company. Interestingly, many of our management team started their careers with us almost 20 years ago, working in manufacturing. Their knowledge of the business as well as their exceptional skills and experiences have shaped the values we have as a company, where everyone is given the opportunity to excel.
Our Company & Future of Proline
The last few years have resulted in positive growth for the Exacta group despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the other challenges we have faced through these unprecedented years. We are very proud of our work ethic and appreciative of our dedicated team. We are honoured to have several long-serving members in our company. Interestingly, many of our management team started their careers with us almost 20 years ago, working in manufacturing. Their knowledge of the business as well as their exceptional skills and experiences have shaped the values we have as a company, where everyone is given the opportunity to excel.
Exacta has not grown through mass production or economies of scale, but by knowing exactly how to add value to our clients. When our clients succeed, we also succeed. This is an element we love. Working with clients to forge partnerships, solve unique problems, and develop exciting bespoke systems, is exactly what drives us. We are excited for 2023 to see what the third year of Proline brings, the clients we will meet and the events we will attend.
Scalability of the business
2020 has been a year of positive growth for the Exacta Technologies Group, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been able to meet with clients virtually, and with safety measures in place we are building and shipping units from our production facility here in the UK. We have not grown through mass production or economies of scale, but by knowing exactly how to add value to our clients. When our clients succeed, we also succeed. This is an element we love. Working with customers to forge partnerships, solve unique problems, and develop exciting products is what drives us. We are excited for 2021 to see what the first year of Proline brings and the clients we can help.
